From Side Hustle to Thriving Lash Business: My Journey

Over 5 years ago, I began my journey into the lash industry. It started with a Classic Lash Course at college, followed by an online Russian Lash course during lockdown. That course consisted of nothing more than a Google Doc with 14 bullet points. It gave me the basics, but I was truly going in blind.

After lockdown restrictions were lifted, I decided to try lashes as a side hustle while I searched for a “proper job”. To my surprise, something I started on a whim quickly became my full-time career.

I’ll be honest, my first couple of years in the lash industry were full of trial and error. I didn’t have the support or resources I needed, but I was determined to improve. I watched countless videos, tested what worked (and what didn’t), and dove into learning how to market my services and grow my social media presence.

And it paid off.

What started as a side hustle turned into a fully booked, thriving lash business. I’ve built a reputation for high-quality lash services in my area and created a business that gives me freedom, flexibility, and fulfillment.

My Mission

I created Bluebell Beauty Academy with the goal of empowering aspiring lash artistsand already experienced beauty bosses with the knowledge, confidence, and support they need to succeed in the beauty industry, Skipping the struggles I went through.

To ensure I provide the highest quality education, I completed a Level 3 Award in Education and Training, equipping me with the skills to deliver structured, professional, and effective training.

 I’ve created The Ultimate Lash Artistry Course with everything I wish I had when I started; comprehensive lash training, business insights, and marketing strategies.
